1. Who we are
This website is operated by Questelon (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/535416/07, a company registered in South Africa. This notice explains how we handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
This notice covers questelon.com only. Our products, such as the Bountrek app, have their own privacy policies covering how the app itself works — see Bountrek's Privacy Policy for that.
2. Information we collect
This website is primarily informational. We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us, specifically:
- Your email address and any information you include, if you email us directly (e.g. support@questelon.com).
We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If that changes, this notice will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent first.
3. Why we process it, and our legal basis
We process the information above only to respond to your message, provide support, or otherwise deal with the reason you contacted us — this is necessary for us to pursue our legitimate business interest in communicating with people who reach out to us, and is limited to what's needed for that purpose.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate (for example, our email and hosting providers), only to the extent needed to provide that service, and only under terms that require them to protect it appropriately.
5. How long we keep it
We keep email correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your query or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
6. Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading.
- Request deletion of personal information we no longer have a lawful basis to hold.
- Object to how we process your personal information, on reasonable grounds.
- Complain to South Africa's Information Regulator if you believe we have not handled your information lawfully.
To exercise any of these rights, email our Information Officer at support@questelon.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the timeframes POPIA requires.

Questelon (Pty) Ltd's Information Officer is its Director, registered with South Africa's Information Regulator as required under POPIA section 55.
